Here comes the rain again

Every time David and I move it has rained. This time is no different. It started pouring down this afternoon. Luckily this time David had shrink wrap and wrapped everything up really good. My friend Heidi came over and helped us out a lot. If I would have know she was so good at cleaning I would have hired her months go. I am going to miss her greatly and hope she knows how much I appreciate her and all the service she has given to me and my family. We will be leaving tomorrow and I am grateful that we didn't leave tonight. There were several tornado where we would have been. We will try and miss all that action by leaving tomorrow. Beside we still are not quite finished packing and some sisters from the ward are coming over to help us clean some more tomorrow morning. We are grateful for all the service that has been given on our behalf. Thanks again for all the thoughts and prayers.

I know who I am

I forgot that our camera has a sound card in it and I have been wanting to get Makenna saying this forever. She has been saying it since she was 2 and when she turned 3 she refused to say 3 so I thought I should get it before we change where she live. She is such a Sweetie.

Sliding Away

Makenna and Daddy like to play at the school around the corner from the house. The picture on the left is when we first moved here to Eau Claire. The picture on the right is when we are leaving. Can you believe we have been here for 2 years and how big she has become.

The Travelling Word

We know word travels fast but for those of you who don't know. It is official. We will be moving back to Utah this Thursday. We had a moving sale today. We sold quite a bit of stuff. Things have really started to fall into place and all signs are pointing west. We are very sad to be leaving, but can hardly wait to start enjoying the journey. We are very grateful for all those who have been helping us prepare and to our Heavenly Father for sending each of them to us. So for those we will be seeing soon we can hardly wait and those we will be leaving behind we will cherish the memories and hope you will come and see us soon.

The New Journey Begins

We are at the beginning of a new and exciting journey. David is no longer with Varsity and it looks like we will be heading back to Utah soon. We have enjoyed all our travels that we were able to have and the fun places we were able to go. It is kinda funny though, Makenna has been wanting to go back to Utah since February. Out of the mouth of babes. Now every time we get in the car she wants to know it we are going or not. This new adventure is really scary and we ask that everyone keeps us in their thoughts and prayers. We have loved our little piece of heaven here in Wisconsin and hope that Makenna remembers it here. Some of our best and worst memories are here in the Midwest but we wouldn't change a thing. We will keep all of you updated.

From the Jolly Green Giant to Paul Bunyan & Babe

I have added a new element to my blog. I call it David's Travels. He goes all over the Midwest and the pictures he brings home range from breathe taking to very corny. He gets to go places that you only read about in books. He has quite the eye and loves to photograph anything that will stand still long enough to let him. I will update the picture periodically and hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

The Next American Idol

I have the next American Idol living with me right now. Makenna loves to sing. Last night there was nothing on so we tuned in. Makenna got some bowls and start drumming to the boys singing. When they were not singing she would drum and sing 123 like a bird I sing. Which is a Tim Mc Graw song that she loves. It was the cutest thing ever. I guess she takes after her big sister Natalie who also loves to sing. I guess music lesson are on the horizon. Just remember went she makes it big you heard it here first.

Freshening up

So, Makenna and I go walking on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at the mall. We go with some members from the ward. After we walk we go to the play place in the mall and the children get to play. Well , the adults weren't quite finished conversing when we got to the cars. I put Makenna in her car seat and the stroll in the back of the truck. One of the sisters was returning something that she had borrow from me and I was talking to her with my back turned. Anyways, while we were talking Makenna somehow got the air freshener and spray it and covered the whole truck. The windshield was covered, the dome light, my drink, the center console, you get the picture. I asked her what she was doing and she said " I cleaning mommy". Sometime it amazes me the mess they can make when you turn your back. Gotta love it.

Three Whole Days

We got to have David home for three whole days. It was heaven. We did a lot of playing. We have some picture but we discovered that our camera only uses a certain kind of battery and the cheap ones that we have don't work. So, when I go and get the right ones I will post the pictures that he took while he and Makenna played at the school and I got my hair done. She is becoming quite the climber and was amazing her daddy. We also got to enjoy yummy BBQ during a thunderstorm warning. David enjoyed watching mother natures firework show. It was the first BBQ of the season and he was determined to have it rain or shine. We also had fun yard sailing, eating samples at Sam's, looking for houses, and buying new summer clothes for Makenna. Yes, that right I said summer clothes. The weather is finally warming up here. We are so excited. We can hardly wait to starting camping, fishing, and 4-wheeling again.

A Curious Question

I am trying to make this blog as interesting as possible. I have been telling friends what I have been up to. Here is a question one of my friends wanted me to post to see what kind of responses I would receive. Her husband has this strange habit of when he opens a bottle of coke he likes to sniff it. She asked him what he was doing and he said that he enjoyed the smell. So, every time he opens it he enjoys the smell. What does everyone think about this unusual behavior? Should he get professional help for sniffing coke? Feel free to leave your opinions. Inquiring minds want to know.

Ever Changing Weather

The weather has been really strange here in Wisconsin as it has been everywhere else. Yesterday we were able to go over to Makenna's "boyfriend" Dallin's house and play on their new fancy smancy playground set. Makenna had the time of her life. We were outside for a couple of hours. Little did I know that the sun was as powerful as it was. In fact, I didn't even realize that I was sunburn until about 10:00 at night. I must we getting old. I have fair skin but Makenna is even fairer and she got nothing. I guess after having snow for 7 straight months on the ground you forget what the sun can do to you. Your just so grateful to feel the suns warm rays that you lose your head. Then today we were back to the melancholy, cloudy, trying to rain, hoping for no tornado weather. It is beautiful here though. Green as far as the eye can see. David in his travels has take a lot of beautiful pictures. This is one he took a couple of years ago but it shows perfectly what the weather is usually like this time of year.

Happy Birthday Mother's Day

We are officially changing Happy Mother's Day to Happy Birthday Mother's Day. (at least for this year) David tried so hard to get Makenna to say Happy Mother's Day but all she kept saying was Happy Birthday Mother's Day. She is a bit confused because it was Grandpa's birthday on Thursday and she had just got that under control and then we throw in Mother's Day too. Poor thing. Sometime she looks at me like "Will you please make up your mind on what you want me to say". Anyways, I had a great day and was spoiled with flowers, a picture frame, an amazing dinner and a Friday appointment to get my hair done. I love being a mother and it gets better and better as she gets older. She is such a precious gift and I am grateful to have her and the other children in my life. Oh yeah and there father isn't to bad to have around either. I am so grateful for forever.

Under Construction

I guess I am going to try this blogging thing out. Thanks to Jami, Jen and Diane for inspiring me. I hope everyone will enjoy taking the journey with me.
